Book Donation Ceremony in Memory of Professor Qadri Ismail
The University of Peradeniya is pleased to announce a Book Donation Ceremony in memory of Professor Qadri Ismail, a distinguished scholar and Professor of English, Cultural Studies, and Comparative Literature at the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis. Professor Ismail was also a former alumnus of the University of Peradeniya.
The ceremony will be graced by members of his family, and appreciations of Professor Ismail’s work will be made by:
- Professor Ruvani Ranasinha, Professor of Global Literature, King's College London
- Professor Emeritus Arjuna Parakrama, University of Peradeniya
The program is scheduled for
11th January 2025, at 10:00 AM, at the Auditorium of the Main Library.
